About me
Mi name is Andrea Fernández Vivanco, I am a freelance interpreter and translator based in Spain. I hold a BA in Translation Studies from the University of Salamanca and a Master's Degree in Conference Interpreting from the University of Granada. Along with studying at two of the leading translation schools in Spain, I have been able to complete my training at high-level European educational institutions such as the University of Heidelberg (Germany), the Avignon Chamber of Commerce (France) and LMU in London (UK).
Ever since I was a child, I have been very curious. Perhaps that's why I have pursued my learning in such diverse fields as industrial technology, digital marketing, social media, sustainable tourism and international law. Discovering cultures other than my own has always fascinated me and I soon realised that I didn't want to just learn languages but I wanted to communicate.
Between 2017 and 2020 I worked in some of the most stablished companies and institutions in the translation industry, such as Gameforge, UNTV or UNAIDS. In May 2020 I started my adventure as a freelancer. Since then, I have interpreted renowned characters such as Michel Mayor, Nobel Prize in Physics 2019, or Vincent Lavergne, Professor and architect.I have translated hundreds of scientific texts, websites and apps from different countries. But I still want to learn and I am open to accept new projects.
